I don’t know about you, but when choosing a place to stay, one of the first things I consider is the cozy cabin’s design. It ranks right up there in my deciding factors, along with cost and location.
Whether it’s for design inspiration or just to experience a completely different way of life and style of living, staying in a beautifully designed space is the ideal way to get inspired for your own home.
I wanted to share with you 17 perfectly designed cozy cabins on my list since I’m constantly searching for the next amazing getaway spot. These houses truly special because of their distinct style. It’s clear that the owners have given it a lot of love and attention, so keep reading and add some new places to your getaway bucketlist.



17. The Black A-frame – Kerhonkson, New York

In the heart of the Catskill Mountains in Kerhonkson, New York, The Black A-frame is a 1961 cabin with two bedrooms and two bathrooms located on a private road. The New York Post called it the “Coolest A-frame in NY” in 2020. Enjoy a homemade meal prepared in the redesigned chef’s kitchen while kicking back in the open dining area with its original wooden structure , or take a walk outside to take in the endless views of the Catskills’ forests from the backyard!
This cabin has an extremely cosy, open floor plan, two complete bedrooms, and two bathrooms.

Tye Haus, the Instagram famous cabin, can be found in Timber Lane Village, a private cabin community near Skykomish, Washington, and is named after the nearby Tye River. This four person A-frame cabin has all the amenities you’ll require, minus food and your loved ones. It has a loft with a single queen bed and a large living room with three sofas, one of which is an extremely comfy twin long day bed.
It also has air conditioning, gas fireplace,a four person hot tub, Games on Board & Toy Box, Outdoor Fire Pit with Picnic Tables and BBQ and most importantly this cozy cabin has access to the Community Beach.

15. Paso Robles – Templeton, California

Adorable, warm, charming place. Nestled in the rolling hills of Paso Robles wine country, the cabin has been completely updated. relaxing environment with multiple views of popular wineries and hay fields. This is the place to stay at if you want to be close to wineries. Just off picturesque Highway 46 West.
Previously, this cabin was a military bunker at Camp Roberts. It was relocated to the property in the 1970s and is now a cute, romantic vacation spot.

Ever since Sara and Rich, the owners, started renovating, I’ve been fixated on this gorgeous place! This 40 acre property features a forest of Saguaro cactus, native plants, and a variety of wildlife, making it a great place to relax and unplug.
The casita will be your own little haven while you are visiting. Go around the gardens and the lawn at anytime you want. Even better, you can walk directly onto government land after leaving the property just to take a walk. Don’t forget to take in the breathtaking views and the Jacuzzi as well!

2. Krisel’s Glass Cabin – Palm Springs

Originally created in 1958 by modernist architect William Krisel, Krisel’s Glass Cabin was featured on several events at Modernism Week. After recent renovations that included a new kitchen, solar system, heated pool, and cedar hot tub in the gorgeous and private backyard, the living area melds perfectly with the desert outside.
This is a luxurious, architecturally significant vacation spot where you can chill both indoors and outdoors while taking in the stunning desert scenery.
The house’s entire back is open to the yard, which blurs the borders between indoor and outdoor space and offers breathtaking views of the San Jacinto mountains.
All year long, the pool is fantastic, but when it’s heated to 88 degrees, it’s even better. For $75 per day, you can have it heated.

Located among the hills of Lake Arrowhead is the Modern Aframe cabin. You will turn onto a private shared driveway tucked away in the pines once you leave the main road. The guests are welcome to use the free Tesla charger.
The gated home features a big private deck with a view of the nearby hillside. A full bathroom with heated floors, an open concept living and dining area with a fireplace, a modern sofa, and a handcrafted dining table are all located on the main floor.
