Blackstone Hotsprings Lodging and Baths, situated in the small town of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, is a wonderful unique and elegant hippie retreat. It is a restored 1930s motor court. Found in the historic bathhouse district, downtown, its modest exterior is easily overlooked. When I first went there, I passed by the location while driving.
Truth or Consequences is about two hours’ drive south of Albuquerque. The town, formerly known as Hot Springs, famous for its therapeutic thermal springs, changed its name to Truth or Consequences in 1995 in an attempt to garner some much needed attention. Truth or Consequences was the name of the hit television programme at the time.

Why You Should Visit Blackstone Hotsprings
With 7 large themed rooms that pay homage to classic TV shows like The Jetsons, The Twilight Zone, and The Golden Girls, Blackstone Hotsprings now thrives on the town’s fondness for these classic TV shows.
However, the town’s therapeutic thermal waters are the most significant resource that the Blackstone utilises. This is also the reason I’ve been coming here in the winter (three times so far) whenever I can. With the exception of one that has a walk-in shower, every room features a large custom tub that is piped with hot spring water for endless private soaking.
The water is approximately 112 degrees Fahrenheit, but if you would like it to be slightly colder, you can add more cold water. If you’d rather, there’s a fresh water shower as well.
Low costs contribute to the stress relief in here. The cost of a room is $75 to $135 per night on average.
If you want to book a place, you can do that at the Blackstone Hotsprings official website.
